Aptvision is delighted to welcome Sana Diagnostic Health as a new client, using our visionRIS + PACS solution to support Sana’s Ultrasound service.

Sana CEO John Cronin selected Aptvision because of the comprehensive functionality offered by the cloud hosted visionRIS + PACS solution, provided as a  SAAS managed service.

Clinic director, John Cronin stated that it was “vital that our sonographer led ultrasound service could scale in an affordable manner, whilst delivering a start of the art experience for patients and clinical colleagues. Aptvision came recommended to us for its ability to understand our needs, provide a secure, fully-managed cloud solution within a matter of days, and have it funded on a subscription basis that aligned with our growth strategy.”

Aptvision Account Manager, Bridget Quirke commented “SANA are representative of a growing number of  healthcare providers delivering diagnostic services directly into the community. Our visionRIS solution is designed specifically for this; quick to activate and configure, functionally comparable with any hospital grade system, allowing operators to meet their responsibilities for accreditation to operate.  What is really attractive for private operators is the managed service that Aptvision provides and the forthcoming Xero™ Integration to streamline the invoicing activity that is an administrative challenge for many”.

Canon Medical Informatics Europe expands enterprise imaging informatics portfolio with

Aptvision collaboration

Canon Medical Systems Europe (CMSE) is excited to announce a new collaboration with medical

technology specialist Aptvision, enhancing its Enterprise Imaging Informatics portfolio by integrating

Aptvision’s cutting-edge Radiology Information System (RIS).

This strategic alignment will see the Aptvision RIS seamlessly added to Canon’s comprehensive suite

of imaging solutions — including PACS, VNA, Viewer, and Advanced Visualisation — across the UK,

Ireland, and Nordic regions.

Canon Medical Systems Europe is a leading provider of innovative medical imaging solutions,

dedicated to improving healthcare across Europe. With a rich heritage rooted in advanced technology,

the company offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging systems, including CT, MRI,

ultrasound, and X-ray equipment.

The firm is deeply committed to delivering state-of-the-art products that enhance patient care,

streamline clinical workflows, and support medical professionals in achieving superior outcomes.

“Aptvision’s RIS perfectly aligns with our own growth strategy,” says Remmelt Migchielsen, senior

commercial product manager at CMSE. “The company’s proven track record of migrating historical

RIS systems — as well as its modern, cloud-based architecture — enables it to be deployed in a

scalable manner across multiple geographies. The Aptvision RIS suite complements our Enterprise

Imaging solutions and allows us to migrate customers who have historically used our Zillion RIS, as

well as providing a feature-rich experience for new customers.”

The partnership between Aptvision and Canon began earlier this year through a recommendation

from another satisfied user.

Anthony Dooher, board member and business development director at Aptvision, adds: “Aptvision is

delighted to collaborate with CMSE, a recognised global brand with a substantial market share across

Europe. We anticipate supporting the business in various geographies, including those where we

already have operations and others where Canon Medical has an established presence. Our

complementary technologies will enable both small, private operators and regional enterprises to

adopt a Canon Medical-led imaging informatics solution, featuring a comprehensive RIS capability

provided by Aptvision.”

This collaboration underscores CMSE’s commitment to delivering holistic and advanced medical

imaging solutions, with plans to extend this integration into additional markets in the future. By

combining the firm’s renowned imaging technologies with Aptvision’s innovative RIS, healthcare

providers will benefit from enhanced workflow efficiencies and improved patient care.

On 10-12 June, ACC Liverpool will open its doors to UKIO 2024’s attendees — bringing a cutting-edge lineup of multidisciplinary sessions, hands-on workshops, and an exciting exhibition area featuring a range of healthcare technologies.

As well as sponsoring the event, we’re delighted to be exhibiting at stand A50. It’s here where our expert team will provide live software demonstrations, answer questions about the application of our core radiology information system (RIS), and give away a select number of goodies to fellow delegates.

And, in line with this year’s focus on the patient voice and workforce wellbeing, the 2024 expo’s Patients Included™ status couldn’t be more timely. Demonstrating a commitment to incorporating the experience of patients as experts in living with their condition, the achievement represents a vital step in placing patients at the heart of care.

Introducing Aptvision’s RIS

For healthcare providers, patients, and referring clinicians, scheduling and managing radiology appointments is no simple feat.

Already battling with immense financial and regulatory pressures, healthcare professionals face limited access to appointment availability. And for patients, lengthy wait times are exacerbated by a lack of control when self-managing appointments. Not to mention, traditional processes can be cumbersome, disjointed, and incredibly unreliable for all parties involved.

Enter our cloud-ready, web-based radiology information system (RIS) — empowering collaboration and coordination to flip challenges on their head.

About Aptvision

Aptvision have created a unified Healthcare Information System embracing latest technologies to enable quicker and more effective outcomes for Patients, Clinicians and Healthcare Providers.

We have a unified total solution which includes end to end patient management workflow, but which can be modular and implemented as individual packages or bundles to fulfill any brief and solve specific problems.

RADIOLOGY INFORMATION SYSTEM

Fully featured Radiology Information System, available in the cloud or on-premise, integrated with all other packages to provide a total radiology solution.

PATIENT WEB BOOKING

Patients, once in receipt of a GP referral letter, can go online and book their procedure at a clinic, day and time of their choice.

PATIENT PORTAL

Secure, standalone web based portal allowing patients access their appointments, medical documentation and results.

SHARED AND HOME REPORTING

Reporting is performed 24/7 by appropriately trained personnel at the right place, in a timely manner and by the most skilled professional enabling workload balancing across a region, working on top of existing local solutions.

CLINICIAN E-REFERRAL & Booking

Improve patient experience and reduce workload of medical staff in clinics by combining phone appointment booking and management into a single, efficient call centre unifying appointment management for any number of sites and -ologies

CLINICIAN PORTAL

Enable patients and referrers access the results immediately and in the most secure way, save cost by removing physical media and replace them with electronic formats available online 24/7

Centralised Network Scheduling

Enabling scheduling appointments across a region from one location. The software also guides the agent through the patient journey, enabling less medically trained and experienced staff to work in the call centre.

Patient communication

Including two way SMS messages, e-mail, e-consent forms enabling a patient to cancel and rebook appointments easily. We also facilitate patients being able to select a cancelled appointment if this is sooner than their scheduled appointment.

Self-Service Registration

Fully paperless, integrated system throughout the workflow. We support the use of paper communication for elderly patients, or vulnerable patients with no access to on-line services, whilst maintaining the paperless workflow for the organisation.

Peer review

Anonymous peer review – including built-in settings and configuration e.g. 10% of all scans must be peer reviewed allowing one Radiologist the ability to anonymously check the findings of another.

MDT

Full MDT workflow: enabling remote access for one or more clinicians, who can create a remote sharing environment, view the same image at the same time and make decisions regarding recommended treatment for individual patients.

Business Intelligence and AI Ready

Standard reports are generated from the information managed throughout the workflows. Bespoke reports can also be configured. More crucially, the system lays the foundation to enable structured collaboration with artificial intelligence companies to use annotated data to learn from, and improve workflow and reporting.

APTVISION UNIFIED WORKFLOW

A comprehensive software solution allowing management of all your healthcare operations and information through an integrated, web based system. It uniquely combines all features necessary for efficient, collaborative workflows enhancing productivity and improving patients' experience at every step of the process.
